Mira is a new gallery space in the village of Menerbes, which showcase contemporary art, elevated craft, and independent voices in publishing.
Founded by three women, Gabrielle Karnycheff, Aurore Pelisson et Ruth Ribeaucourt, who endeavour to forge a place where creatives can meet, share and learn from one another. A space where artists both international and local are invited to exhibit with the shared intention of deconstructing the traditional boundaries that separate art and craft.
Located in the historical quartier Saint Blaise (patron saint of hemp carders), Mira is a space steeped in historical and spiritual significance, with a remarkable 12th-century chapel at its heart. The property, formally known as ‘La Maison de Zorro’, is imbued with notable cultural heritage having once been the home of several notable artists.
Galerie Mira propose unique works of art and craft that showcase the singular, generous work of the human hand, as well as regular creative workshops and events throughout the year.
